If you are a tenant, we will maintain the outside/structure of your home, this includes repairing drains, gutters, and external pipes.
Blocked drains can cause rainwater to overflow, creating damp areas around your property. To help prevent this, regularly clear fallen leaves/debris to ensure water flows away from your home, reducing the risk of damp, mould, and wall damage.
If you are experiencing damp and mould inside your home, please report this to us immediately by calling 020 8996 4200 or completing this form, here.
Fallen leaves may look picturesque, but they can create slippery and hazardous surfaces when wet or icy. While our Estates Services teams are busy clearing communal paths, remember to keep your own walkways and driveways clear. Regular sweeping reduces the risk of slipping and keeps your outdoor space safe.

If you have a balcony, avoid storing flammable or bulky items like plastic or wooden sheds, as these can pose a fire risk. Also, remember that fires, barbecues, and candles aren’t allowed on balconies due to safety risks. Fireworks should never be used or stored on your balcony (or anywhere in your home).

Winter is tough for wildlife, but you can make a difference by setting up bird feeders or building a hedgehog shelter. Providing food and safe spaces helps local wildlife survive the harsh months and adds a touch of nature to your outdoor space.

By following these steps, you’ll have a well-maintained outdoor area, all set for the winter season.
